Steve Brewer - Biography
Steve studied Computing and Information Systems at Brighton University, with a strong focus on IT project management, requirements analysis and human-computer interaction.
Steve has many years of experience working within UK academia developing and became involved in the development of grid computing through the OMII series of projects.
Prior to EGI, Steve led a number of e-Science projects in the UK designed to popularise the adoption of e-research technologies across the whole spectrum of research disciplines.
Within the EGI-InSPIRE project Steve is responsible for Community Outreach. Steve engages with new virtual research communities (VRCs) to ensure that their needs and requirements are met.
Steve is chair of the User Community Board which enables the user communities to provide input and comment on the services offered by the NGI teams across the EGI e-Infrastructure.
Steve is also responsible for chairing the programme committees for the 6 monthly EGI Forums.
